Charming 100 year old 4B/2B house on a tree-lined street 2.5 blocks from great views of Manhattan. This is the perfect place for a family or group of up to 8-10 people who want to stay in a house 30 min to NYC Free 4 spot parking in driveway. Exclusive use of the LR, DR, kitchen, bathroom, 3 bdr on the 2nd floor with their own bathroom and 1 large LR w King size bed/2 sofas on the 3rd floor, a deck. There is a separate apt under the house with own entrance whose guests may use the driveway
The space
This is the perfect place for people who want to explore what living near New York City is all about! Please do not come if you intend to throw a loud party and if that is your sole reason for coming. We are a quiet house and will not tolerate noise nor will the neighbors.
Guest access
Guests have full access to the first floor, second floor and the finished attic of the house. Guests also have private access to the back patio, and backyard . There is a shared 4-car driveway with free parking. Guests have access to every part of the house except basement where we have a private apt
Other things to note
The house is 100 years old with very nice details like wood beams, nice doors and french door. It has a slight slant and the second floor bathroom has a tub on 4 legs. There are cracks here and there on the walls please do not be alarmed. The house is structurally sound. Important note: 2nd floor bathroom – please turn the water all the way off and do not leave the shower head dripping over the tub wall against the back wall of the house. That can cause water problems downstairs. Thank you
Strict Non Smoking policy anywhere on the property. Please note that we have newborns on each side of us and we don’t want to disturb neighbors with people smoking on the side of the property or loud partying.
No paper towels in the kitchen. We leave cloth towels instead.
Ground floor bathroom – water is turns on in the shower by pulling the big knob outside towards you. Please try that before calling to say that there is no water in the bathroom. Also there is a switch on the shower head to switch water running between hand held and top shower.
AC/ Heat Mitsubishi wall units – there are 3 units – all 3 have to be in the same mode for the units to work. Symbol of Sun for heat, and of snowflake for AC.
